Replacement of a blown double glazing unit.

Can anyone make a recommendation for a company to replace a blown double glazing pane in a modern wood sash window. I only want to replace the glazing unit not the whole window frame. Many thanks.

You can refurbish them Oliver but the cost of 'breaking down' the unit, cleaning, using a new barrier, refilling with gas and resealing always exceeds the cost of a replacement unit. I now, I tried!Plus of course you have the problem of a bloody great hole in the wall while you are trying to fix them.If you are able to remove the sealed units yourself and measure for new units I can thoroughly recommend Christie Glass in Mitcham. A bit of a trek but they take online orders and are REALLY cheap for the supply of sealed units.

By blown do you mean the gas seal has failed and moisture has got in between the two panes of glass?I've got 2 windows like that and wondered whether that can be refurbished using the otherwise undamaged glass.I wondered as well if anyone does that service?

Try Askew Glass on the Askew Rd in Shepherd's  Bush, they reglazed my French door unit when someone stupidly decided to take a hammer to it at Christmas. Excellent service and highly competitive as they have their own factory. No connections but my family have used them for years.
