Cudi store

Love their pitta and naan bread, best around. Also the large tomatoes are great. They sell a very large flat bread, does anyone know what it's called and what would it be served with.  It looks as if its Middle Eastern.  Thanks.

Tony, Rachal has answered your query - the store I referred to is called Broadway International Foodstore(or similar) and is on the other side of Uxb Road from Cudi.

I love that bread! Cudi is fantastic, one of the best food shops I've ever been to, and the one over the road (Broadway International Food Centre)is also excellent but Cudi always just has the edge. In fact West Ealing as a whole is probably the best area for food shopping I know of.

Immediately opposite across the road is Deans Gardens, Gerry.  Could you be a little more specific please as I am intrigued by the idea of the bakery which I was not aware of?

Sounds like Lebanese flat bread.  Store it in the freezer and take it out as you need it, otherwise it goes stale very quickly. We East it with everything. .. dips, olives, fried egg.  Great as a toasted wrap too :-)

Another vote for Cudi.  Terrific selection of 'fresh'/tinned and pre-packed olives.

Thanks Viv, I'll have to give that bread a try although not sure what it would be best with.  Their fresh herbs are always good value and all fruit and veg are kept in good condition.

Kieth, its on the north side of Uxbridge Road a few yards west of Bedford Road(opp Dean Gardens).You must try the Cudi food store - its great.

We rate Cudi highly. Also try the small mini-market shop immediately opposite across the road. At the back of that store is a wonderful bakery - delicious breads also and some of the freshess baklavas(all dripping with honey). They supply them in a sealed plastic container and you can select and choose any of the baklavas and easy to carry home. Also no end of pickled and tinned provisions.

You're probably talking about Barbari bread.I think it's Iranian, I know it's delicious!  I love Cudi too - brilliant selection of pulses and beans,
