At Haven Green this afternoon, I saw a taxi pulling onto the rank, and then throwing as hard as he could a white carrier bag full of rubbish out of the window. I could not believe it. I sprinted across the road picked up the revolting carrier bag and threw it back as hard as I could into his cab. My aim was perfect. I put lots of top spin on it so it hit him full in the face! His defence was that "people throw litter all over the green and nobody does anything about it, so why should I give a s@?t!?"I have now made my complaint to TfL (which I told him I would). He was quite nonchalant about the severity of the repercussions. He said "Go on then, I don't give a s@?t". The council has planned and paid for bins on the rank deliberately for taxi drivers to dump their rubbish. They can not be expected to plan for a mindless dumbo attitude. I made it quite clear that bins are not cosmetic street furniture.Would it not be great if his punishment was to lose his licence, say, for a fortnight, and be made to sweep Ealing's streets? It might make the difference in stopping him doing it again. If any of you want your own word with him, he drives a white taxi that has a licence plate number 35225. He is male, dark hair, 36yr old, olive skin with a beard and is overweight. Or even better, if you need a taxi from the station, use another cab.I will also be contacting the council too.
