I think the days of the big multiplex are gone. Cinema audiences are dwindiling save for big blockbusters so I think 6 screens is about right. And its not centred one one activity, the restaurants, outdoor screen (for live sporting events? That would be cool) and performance space would make it a mixed use development giving it a better chance of success. I`m keen to see this go ahead as I think it would open up that part of ealing, its always seemed a bit awkward navigating between Bond Street and High Street. Just wish Ealing council could have packaged up more land for Land Securities to play with! Those shops by the YMCA are looking a bit shabby so to open up links with the main shopping centre would be cool.As for transport I think hopefully locals would get the bus or train, or walk(!). Ealing is pretty easy to get to and from, crossrails coming in to. Its a small awkward site to provide parking for and we need to be encouraging people to get public transport. I like it a lot, and wish it could happen tomorrow!
