Marital abuse in public?

Should we interfere when marital abuse in public becomes physical? Or should we treat it as none of our business and ignore it?

Let's not decide that Charles Saatchi is 'some monster'. The photos I've seen of him since the incident make me wonder if his mind is starting to go. Aggression is often an early sign of dementia, especially in men, especially in alpha males.

Most folk would not be comfortable ignoring abuse of a woman in public.I certainly would deflect the focus of the abuser.You can do this by showing displeasure in whatever way you can that attracts others to witness the situation.You hope that in doing so the abused has time to get away from the abuser, and you create time and opportunity  for getting a response from other onlookers who can get help. To do NOTHING? is an easy option that will remain with you.Think about it . You would do the same after a moments thought .

The idea that what happens between husband and wife is no one else's business is what allows wife beaters to get away with it for so long, often until they kill.
