Those were the words of Mp Sharma.He  was speaking about the killing of a soldier going about his business in his own country. I am sorry Sir. Those were not his intentions. Those were the actions of pure Hatred. It resulted in fear and and a growing desire to dish out the same to others whom he loved and felt supportive about.

I think peace marches would be very powerful and would send a message loud and clear to those thinking of commiting terror and murder in the name of Islam that they are out of order and are going against what the peaceful majority want.A stand should be made and an unequivocal message sent to these people.Those who want peace should stand up and be counted imo.

I saw more Muslims condemning this than I have before.  After all there are Muslims serving in the British army.Perhaps you weren't watching the right channel.  We only see what the media choose to show us.

A valid question Leslie. I must say, I'd like to hear and see more of the good and respectable Muslims in our mixed society, come together more often en mass to condemn in a united spirit, this heinous crime. I think everyone should, irrespective of religion, creed or belief(or non-belief). As Delia Smith once pleaded: "Come on, let's be having you."

Where are the demonstrations claiming "not in my name"?Used to see the odd one when the IRA killed soft targets.Why does not, the Muslim community come out with their own demonstrations or marches against that vile sort of Islamic interpretation.

The surprise murder of Mr.Lee Rigby(a serving soldier) was a heinous crime of the most despicable order and utterly cowardly imo. How anyone could even contemplate such an action is unbelievable. And to commit it in the name of a repected religion is beyond belief. All Muslims should unite and condem this crime vehemently.  I do.

I think Os refers to the act of the two murderers of Lee Rigby whose intentions, according to Mr Sharma were as stated.He may be right but, save for a few on the lunatic fringes, most have recognised this as a pure hate-filled murder by two individuals who are representative of neither wider society nor the religion they claim to profess.

I may be having a 'thick day' OS but whose intentions do you mean?I agree entirely that the death of poor Lee Rigby was despicable and hate fueled but I am not clear what you are getting at.I am surprised and glad that 'rent-a-quote' Keith Vaz hasn't put his sixpenneth in.
