Eat n Greet with Shooting Star CHASE

We are very proud to have been chosen as one of the Mayoral charities 2013/14 by Mayor of Ealing, Cllr Kamaljit Dhinsda.  Shooting Star CHASE is your local children’s hospice supporting over 600 families across western London, Surrey and West Sussex, with a child or teenager not expected to live beyond their 19th birthday.Join us and case a stir for Shooting Star CHASE by taking part in our exciting fundraising campaign, eat 'n' greet.  Baby food guru, Annabel Karmel, launched our campaign from our Hampton hospice and she is encouraging people to get involved, have fun with food and raise money for Shooting Star CHASE hospice care for  children and teenagers.So whether you have a dinner party at home, organise a cake sale at work or want your own business to get involved...the opportunities are endless.  For more information and to request a fundraising pack visit our website: www.shootingstarchase.org.uk/eatngreet

It's worrying the way that so many of our young folk are completely incapable in the kitchen and disappointing that so many cookery programmes show us menus that we would only make occasionally instead of practical delicious and healthy everyday food.Many of these young people will be working as carers for the elderly and they can't even make an omelette.  They are referred to by the generation they are looking after as "completely clueless".  We've actually got to the point where people no longer have any understanding of what needs and doesn't need to be refrigerated. Another group of young people are about to go off to university where it is far easier to find subsidised alcohol than cheap healthy food.How about a competition to find the best and quickest and healthiest "on toast" meals?
