ORCHARDS OF LONDON DUE TO OPEN IN ACTON IN AUGUST

Orchards of London is due to open a third office in Acton in August – where it all started!Paul Connolly, Managing Director says: “To be opening our third office in Acton is a tremendous occasion as this is where it all started for Joseph and I a few years ago. Our Ealing Common office at the moment deals with an extensive portfolio for Ealing and Acton properties thus the logical place to open our next office would be Acton. Would you want to use an estate agent that:-where the agents use their mobile phones when driving?;park on the pavement (aka pavement blockers) and double / single yellow lines?;drive into the back of a bicycle and then give the cyclist the finger for protesting? (Orchards paid out £50 for the repair);an agent who is not an oeonphilia?uses free advertising on this cosy community forum?;And above all is just a estate agent that usually turns up late for appointments!Why are only Acton residents being invited? Will they need some form of ID that you live in a W3 postcode before you can sip the ghastly cheap plonk?

Well they are part of the reason. The major problem is greedy investors or indeed governments allowing investment in residential property which has led to a few owning most housing and then in turn a shortage of stock and inflated prices.

God, everywhere you look, there are estate agents. Just on northfields avenue, there must be at least 7 and in Ealing Broadway, just outside the station, must be at least 6. Greedy buggers the whole lot of them. They are the reasons why people cannot afford to buy first time homes anymore. All they care about is their massive inflated commissions.By the way, shouldn't they be paying if they want free advertising on this forum. Stingy Bxxxxxxxxxxx

The key word there Gerry is 'conversation',The first post is a blatant advert and should be treated, and paid for, as such.

But there's a difference - a very big one - between conversation and advertising, Gerry. This one is more like being shouted at rather than invited to take part in an exchange of views. It's becoming a bit too common for posts to be thinly disguised advertisements - though in this case it's more blatant than usual.
