Centre spot of Ealing.

Is there one specific and actual spot that is taken as the real centre(geographically) of Ealing, which map makers and surveyors and the like use to measure their calculations?  If so, where is this centre point?

Och Jings! That should of course be Horsenden Hill....I've been away from Ealing too long

Gerry  I think the nearest Trig point to you is on top of Horsendon Hill,which map makers used to use. Nowadays it's all done with  GPS so Trig points are a bit redundant (completely actually).  Horsendon is 84 metres above the Newlyn standard,so get your walking shoes and a very long tape measure and do whatever it is that's worrying you,do you think your house has moved or something? ;0)

Ha ha...though it sometimes feels like Trafalgar Square, especially when all the kids(and spouses) and the grandchildren and the rest of the Tan entourage turn up.
