That's sad and frightening Tony. How then should one prepare for a safe and comfortable retirement? Are there really no retirement pensions worth having? What's happened to the world of work?

I think it's every man for himself now isn't it Gerry?I am not aware of any pension available to new workers joining the workforce that is worthy of the name.

Public sector still outperforms the private sector but the employee contributions are now much higher and the returns lower at a later age.
