Cycle Safety Event - Saturday 1st June

I realise I've mentioned it on a thread in another post, but it is  worth mentioning again.Tomorrow, Saturday, 1st June, from 10am until 3pm, Ealing Cycling Campaign in conjunction with Waitrose West Ealing are organising an 'Exchanging Places' event to enable cyclists to experience a HGV driver's view of the road, and thereby get a much better understanding of the blind spots around an HGV vehicle. The purpose is to raise awareness of the hazards that lorries pose, and what cyclists can do to avoid being caught in the danger zone. Cyclists will have the opportunity to jump in the cab. There will also be cycling maps and information on hand to pick up.  The event will take place at:Waitrose West EalingAlexandria RoadW13 0NL

I hope that this is really busy Ben and well done to the organisers. I cringe when I see lorries turning left with a cyclist on their nearside. Marylebone Road by Tussauds seems almost 'infamous' for this.Perhaps if both parties knew how dangerous this is there would be far fewer accidents.
