(yet) another coffee bar coming to Ealing Broadway

Harris + Hoole (owned by Tesco but claiming to be independent) have put in for preliminary planning approval for the old Jessops unit on Ealing Broadway. http://www.pam.ealing.gov.uk/PlanNet/documentstore%5CDC11126036-5-00015_130404_334_01_1.PDFWe've already got Costa (2 branches), Starbucks (3 branches), Caffe Nero (2 branches), Pret and a whole bunch of others - do we really need one more?

Gerry I can make an Americano or espresso at home for pennies. Why, I ask again, should I want to spend pounds on one in the less than 'romantic' surroundings of Ealing Broadway.

Its "coffee culture" amongst the good citizens of Ealing. There's nothing quite like a hot Milano or a Napoli in the morning, to concentrate the mind - be it a double expresso, a capuccino or an Americano, with hot milk on the side. And a fresh croissant with jam. A perfect start to the day.

No but doubtless it will be busy given the, alien to me, seemingly insatiable appetite for overpriced brown water.I like coffee, I like drinking coffee in memorable surroundings. What would entice me to spend almost three pounds in Ealing Broadway on a handful of beans?
