From this the question is: is Bell making it easier for Labour Member of the London Assembly Onkar Sahota's planning application to get through second time around by putting his apparatchiks in place instead of councillors who objected to the planning application in the first place?

What new horror are Bell and Mahfouz cooking up for us that they need half the planning committee to be made up from their own Southall cronies?A new and bigger car park to create more air pollution?A blind eye to be turned to beds in sheds constructions to make sure that local businesses do not lose their illegal workers?Truly the mind boggles.

Has anyone noticed that since Labour took control, all Mayors and Deputy Mayors (8 in all) have all been men. Yet they boast that they are the party of gender equality. So much so that nationally Labour is placing 'all women' lists in order, they claim, to encourage more women to get involved in politics. So, what is wrong with Ealing's Labour female councillors???During the previous conservative administration there have been 3 women Mayors and 3 women Deputy mayors. How long do we have to wait till they catch up and put in practice what they preach?

He was parachuted in. Usually the Deputy Mayor becomes Mayor, however Cllr Bell had a purge of his party and Southall Cllrs were promoted and a lot of non-Southall cllrs removed from their posts. Check out how many Southall Cllrs have made it onto planning. 50% of the Labour lot.
