Great idea!(Shame that my, currently empty, 4,000 sq ft office building is in Leatherhead and not Ealing... :-( )

Maybe not exactly the same but there is a group of us looking at the possibility of a community/business innovation co-working hub in West Ealing. The feasibility study is funded from the West Ealing High Street Innovation and Riot Recovery Fund. There's more information on this site and the story is on the home page - http://www.ealingtoday.co.uk/default.asp?section=info&page=eahub001.htmIf you're interested in keeping up to date with progress you can join the mailing list through our website - www.westealinghub.com

Hackspaces are a great idea.We have 'Open Ealing' serving the artistic community, although they have lost their donated 'big space' (always a risk) and are moving/have moved to Drayton Green but we have nothing to meet the needs of the 'more practical'.A Hackspace would need a good team to get it off the ground with the first objectives to 'define the need' and find a suitable space.
