Can anyone confirm that the café's former premises on Northfield Avenue are destined to become a William Hill? What a disaster another establishment for the lowest of activities....

Can easily remember the last time that I entered a bookie's premises. Derby Day 1974 when I bet the princely sum of £1.00 on Snow Knight (he won at 50/1!).I quit while I was ahead and haven't wasted my money in the ensuing 39 years!

It's market forces innit mate!Not enough demand for so many cafes on Northfield Avenue but lots of demand for bookies (apparently...).Never go near the places myself. (Well, part from the once - 25 years ago - when 'my' nag came in first in the Grand National. ;-) )
