I need staff to make cakes and coffee

Hello,Does anyone on this site know any young, attractive, polite student types who can bake and would like to work part time at a coffee shop in Ealing. The hours are flexible (meaning the staff will have to be flexible) but will be a maximum of 4.30-9pm Mon-Thursday and a weekend shift from 8.30pm-3pm. If the applicant isn't able to do all those shifts some may be available.The job requires the applicant to be able to make a cake or tart from scratch so this would suit someone who likes baking and is good at it. I would teach them how to make espresso based coffee. The applicant must live in Ealing or very close by. I want polite, well-spoken types with an interest in cafe culture which is why I'm asking my fellow Forum users. If anyone knows anyone please post back on here and we can get in touch. Ta.

Oh yes, still in vogue. About 50% of the workforce are now entirely home based and another 30% partly. I still have a desk so I'm VERY lucky (so they tell me every day).

Sorry to bring it back to topic but the way he talks about the prospective employee as a "type" is sort of offensive or is it just me?"student types" and "well spoken types"

Are they still 'hot desking' at Bedfont Lakes?I had a few early meetings there (the place always smelt of the lubricating oil from the lifts) and used to chuckle at IBM'ers checking out their pedestals and processing around the galleries trying to find a 'cold' desk and then checking back their pedestals presumably to go and work from home!

I missed the 'removed' message, can I assume that it was less thean complimentary?There are strict laws with regard to recruiting staff which apply to ALL businesses. They are not rocket science and are designed to ensure that those who can do the job, even if they look like and are as old as Albert Steptoe, are not dissuaded from at least applying."Young and attractive" simply rides roughshod over these breaches these.As to salary, as the OP wants a candidate capable of making cakes from scratch then he should be offering the going rate. Even outside London the median for a pastry chef is over £10/hour - took a whole two minutes on the web to find the 'going rate'.

'Language Timothy'...I'm so glad I no longer run my own business.What's wrong with recruitment for IBM? I once did an assignment for them which involved my flying from Heathrow to New York. IBM would not re-imburse my expenses as I could not produce the ticket stub. Of course when they gave me the work assignment IBM never told me I would have to produce the ticket stub to get paid.'Let them eat cake'.

What is it about cake shops?Yet another one has opened in the centre of West Ealing. Also the huge 'Cake and Bake' some 100 yards east of it and across the road is forever empty. Across the road and east again is a Persian shop which is always crammed full of tens/hundreds of small, delicious looking cakesJust how do they all make a profit?

The coffee shop is in a private college and the wages will be around £7.
