Ouch!  Gas and leckie bills.

Just had our gas and electricity quarterly bills. Doesn't make pleasant reading. They've never been so high - must have been the prolonged freezing weather. Hope the weather has now changed to normal seasonal temperatures. Ouch, its painful.

We've got a four bedroom Edwardian WITHOUT double glazing (except in the loft), Keith. Plus two kids. I blame the wife. She's an absolute wuss when it comes to the cold.

Should have added that our consumption has been falling year-on-year but we got hit with a 34% tarrif increase having been 'shielded' by a fixed-rate scheme since 2010.

I'm on course for £2000 pa as well with a high-efficiency boiler, full double glazing, every nook and cranny draughtproofed. Two adults, two children.Oh, the joys of a 1900 house over three floors (one unheated) with 11' ceilings. :-(

Do you have a big house Alex or many people living there?Your bills are twice what ours are.We pay £75 pm for gas and elec.

Ditto me. Almost had a heart attack. We're now on course for a two grand a year total gas + electricity bill.
