Fixed or Fleeces by 3G monthly internet modem
3g sells a Dongle which connects you to the internet and boasts about its speed and availability. A fixed price Contract is presented to Customers for a period of 24 months--18 months -- or 12 months and it is by no means a reality. Sign Up and find out that the connections drops off so frequently that you seek help from their Centres... in INDIA. Their promises that it is only a few weeks before another Mast is connected and every users troubles are over.They put it so sweetly that you feel it must be true. Not so. The Technology is not there .You may be forgiven for being strung along.You cannot do anything but carry on paying each week. They put the monthly Fee up by 3.6% and you still are asked to PAY UP regardless.You cannot get a written reply to your letters of protest ,you cannot terminate the Contract even if you have good reasons and even if you return their Dongle by registered Post.Add a Self addressed Envelope and you are still ignored.They want payment upto the expiry date of the Contract which seems like a court sentence. Should I ask for HELP from Ofcom?FIXED MEANS FIXED they say, but for who?
