Bedroom Tax v Fostering

What are peoples thoughts on the leaflets distributed by Ealing Council asking if people have considered fostering instead of paying Council Tax...?

Re  would be fostering purely for financial motive.          xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx    that's why Asha I said as long as the stringent  sifting of the adopters  takes place. Even if only half a dozen are successfully placed, that hopefully means six lives made  more pleasant?.  I cannot imagine what it must feel like to be a child needing to find " alternative " parents, must  be quite unsettling?. So if even ust six are given hope and happiness, so much to the good.

This would worry me because wrong sort of people would be fostering purely for financial motive. We need very tight stringent criteria set so that only suitable people can foster plus proper background checks and criminal records checked. A child could be at risk from abuse if sent to live in a 'high risk' foster home.

Re  child instead of being eligible for bedroom tax.            xxxxxxxxxxxxxx    in theory seems a good idea, helps 3 people, the home occupant, the child and the Council. In practice, maybe a tad different but as long as the scrutiny of the adopter is of the usual standard that would eliminate one potential problem.
