Favourite soaps on TV

What are your favourite soaps and why? Do you think it reflects real life and do some people in the soap remind you of people you know in real life.My favourite soaps are neighbours. Been watching it from day one and I love Paul Robinson.Second is coronation street. I work with someone who is just like Kirsty and believe me, she is scary. I can't stand Karl. I hope they lock him up.

Maybe that's because Adam in Emmerdale and Jason in Corrie are real life brothers

I watch only Coronation Street but find that if I switch on early and catch the end of Emmerdale that people on the screen look exactly like the ones in Corrie. All soap operas have the same 'types'. So I switch on, think, 'Oh, there's Stella and Jason. Has Corrie started early?' before realising that it's another middle-aged bottle blonde and over-muscled toyboy.
