next years influx from eastern europe.

Reported on sky news David Cameron has said in his 'getting tough on immigration speach' that immigrants from EU countries will be stripped of their job seekers allowance after six months... well thats not getting tough. Thats allways been the case. My friend lost her job seekers allowance after six months, and she'd previously been working for 28 years. I dont think that news is going to deter anyone from Romainia etc seeking to come here next year. Honestly there are no jobs for them, there are no houses for them, they have no money. where are they going to go? Will they be sleeping rough on the streets?

Re when someone I know was waiting in Perceval House in Ealing,        xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I don't think it was an isolated incident Jean. I was told re a very old man and woman who were made to wait for ages while  other people of the same etnicity of the staff were dealt with. And in the matter of housing and benefits, one does not have to speculate too much. A Kosovar friend I once had applied for social housing for his family and was told by he staff in a nearby Borough a "financial inducement" was needed if they were to be considered. And as time goes on, " our " representation in the local population will get less and less.

That reminds me of what happened at Ealnig Town Hall some time ago. An elderly gentleman had been waiting and waiting to be called to the counter. When he was finally told to go to see one of the council personnel the old man seemed to be having a problem with communication between himself and the council employee. This went on for some time, finally in frustration he was heard to ask whether he could see someone who spoke proper English.He seemed even more frustrated when yet another foreign gentleman came out to ask whet the problem was. After a heated discussion the old man walked away shaking his head in dismay.I don't know if this happens often but it happened once when someone I know was waiting in Perceval House in Ealing,

Re  not prefer to help their own country folk first?  xxxxxxxxxxxx    I am glad people are beginning to realise the problems of so many jobs  in the hands of people not of these shores. To think that B F of a Home Secretary ( Blunkett )  boasted  in the early years of this century that his plan of various Govt. offices and departments being staffed 30%?  by immigrants within 10 years was well ahead of schedule. The stories that  came out re Lunar House were frightening ( eg, very many Passports a year used to disappear) but of course, all hushed up, like the Asian grooming of young white girls, in the interests of racial harmony of course. Which of course is a load of nonsense, does anyone think that if it came to Police notice indigenous white gangs were targeting and grooming young Asian girls for sex, all hell would not be let loose.

They should be required to work for at least 2 years before being handed benefits. What happens if they work for 6 months and then sign on for benefits?It is because this country is so generous handing out all sorts of benefits that attracts people to come here.If other countries can be more strict then why can't we?It is no point in saying that Council homes will be offered to the indiginous population first - many people employed in most town halls are from overseas - how could they ensure that they keep to the rules and not prefer to help their own country folk first?
