Best and worst TV cooks?

We all have our favourites and our lest liked TV cook presenters.My all-time favourites are:Delia Smith, Rick Stein and Hugh Fearnley-WhittingThingy.My duds are:Fanny Cradock, Keith Ffloyd and Jamie Oliver.Yours?

Thumbs up for Keith Floyd from me - loved him and his carefree style (and getting sloshed whilst doing so!).Jamie Oliver wins my thumbs down. Cheesy and irritating IMO

What are your criteria, Gerry? If entertainment value is one of them, then I must protest at what you say about Keith Floyd. The man may not have been the best cook but he was certainly the funniest.

Favourites: Nigel Slater, Raymond Blanc and the Hairy BikersTurn-offs: Jamie 'Pukka' Oliver, Reza Mohammed (makes Alan Carr look butch) and virtually everything on the Food Network.

Crickey Viv, I forgot Nigel Slater - a quiet, no-nonsense and straight forward cook. Admire his meals from left-overs from his fridge - so simple and sensible. Also like the way he shops with no fuss and airs - good cook.

My cookery God - is Nigel Slater, admittedly not the best TV presenter in the world. But his books - and recipes are fab . Worst? Nigella.

Actually I quite enjoy watching Jamie Oliver. I enjoy watching the 15 minutes dinner thingy. I learnt quite a few new dishes from him. For instance, I now know how to make vegetarian burgers in less than 20 minutes and loads of other things.I have gone off Delia. She used to be my favourite but Jamie makes cooking more fun and simple. I can now cook a 3 course meal in under 30 minutes thanks to Jamie.
