New to this area

Hello. I am chinese and have been living in Ealing for a few months now. I came across your site and had lots of fun and laughs at reading all your comments.I noticed that some people get very nasty towards one another especially if someone is telling the truth. As I see it, everyone is entitled to have their own opinions.I look forward to posting some new comments but still trying to build up the courage as some people here can be bullies.

Anna, you are right in showing caution about people. Those of us on this forum are a cross section of people in general; the good, the bad and the ugly. I won't say which description sums me up. Continue being cautious, but keep an open mind - you never know, some of us might be harmless.

I am definitely 'genuine' and have lived in and around Boston Manor for over 50 years.No one 'of importance' (well no more important than anyone else) I am a family man, churchgoer, (amateur) drummer, rugby watcher (use to play 2nd.row) and (moderate) imbiber of good beers. I also love cooking Indian and Chinese food - actually any food really.BTW, remiss of me, welcome to Ealing and to the forum.

hello. Are any checks made on the people on this forum to make sure they are genuine people. For instance how do we know they are who they say there are. There is one person on this forum who I thought gave the impression he was someone important but when I asked him if he worked for the council, he said no. I am just assuming he is a MR because that person doesn't even disclose his full name even after requests from myself and Nigel. I think it would be nice to know a bit about everyone and what part of West London they live in and what is their occupation or if retired what they used to do.I live in South Ealing and work as a therapist working with mental health patients.

Welcome Anna, the lovely people on this forum far, far out number any 'bullies'. Pretty much like Ealing as a whole, so enjoy this wonderful area and away.

Welcome indeed Anna. I am not sure about the term 'bullying' as it implies that some  people allow themselves to be done down are too weak to stand up for themselves and I don't get that impression on this forum.I hope that doesn't sound like a bullying remark...;-)
