North Acton Park Tennis Courts

the Council are threatening to terrminate Jays lease of the tennis courts. Jay has run the Courts for 20 years at great financial loss and damage to his health.his treatment by the Council and their agents has been a disgrace. Without Jay the Courts would have stayed in a poor state or repair and a draw for anti social behaviour. They will return to this condition if Jay goes. The local community will lose a valuable resource and anti social behaviour will return to the Park. It should be allowed to happy.

They are seeking rent rates and insurance at a level that is historic and doesn't reflect the current economic reality. The council has put pay and display arond the park which has badly effected trade. The Concil look at it as a commercial venture whereas Jay runs it on a community benefit level.If he goes the courts will be left to rot like so many other council run park tennis courts.
