May I wish everyone on EalingToday a happy Chinese New Year. Its gonna be the Year Of The Snake. "Kung Sei Fat Choi" I say in Cantonese, or "Guo Nian Hao" in Mandarin. All the best on Sunday 10th Feb. Cheers!

Well Ben, surely it is always nice to celebrate something, and why not wish our Chinese friends a Happy Chinese New Year?

here is me being a bit of a kill joy. instead of celebrating an event that meaningless to the majority of the english population we should celebrate that in1933 - The singing telegram was introduced by the Postal Telegraph Company of New York City.

Happy New Year Gerry.I am so pleased that Chinese take-aways don't sell cigarettes anymore. I went to one once and asked for "twenty Players No.6" and came away with two bin bags full of prawn crackers :-)

Great! We're having a Chinese take-away feast tonight - think we'll have a No.17, No.21, No.32 and two portions of No.53!
We had a Chinese banquet last night, courtesy of M&S. Very nice too. Happy New Year.
