Underground Orchestra - Shepherds Bush Empire - Sat 26 Jan - In aid of charity Day Trippers
Hello all,Apologies for putting out a plug as a first post, i am normally found on the Chiswick version of the site! I am taking part in a very special concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire this Saturday. It is in aid of the local childrens charity Day Trippers www.daytrippers.org.uk.In a nutshell, Shaun Buswell, a friend of mine, set out to put together an orchestra of people he met on the tube for the first time, while carrying their instruments. After one year of toil, he pulled together the musicians on the 12 December last year and there is a one time only concert taking place at Shepherds Bush Empire on Saturday 26th January mixing some classical numbers, a medley of music from films set in London and songs from Shaun's band. A few of Shaun's band are also taking part (i count as one of them). In addition, we are also looking for musicians to take part in a "flash mob" song, which is part of the show. Anyone taking part in this will get a free ticket and sit together in the gallery at the Empire to watch the show and play their instrument during the song. We will just need names and instruments in advance and people can PM through here if they would like to take part.Details of the challenge here:http://www.121212.org.uk/Tickets here:http://www.o2shepherdsbushempire.co.uk/event/47909/the-12-12-12-underground-orchestra-challenge-ticketsFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/events/436586566408386/I look forward to hearing from anyone who would like to take part in the flash mob and of course anyone non-musicians who would like to come and watch a very special, unique event (and the largest group of musicians to ever play the SB Empire)Many thanks in advanceMartin
