Greenford Flyover

Has re-opened this morning, ahead of schedule. Would have been nice if BBC London News could have managed to mention this on Breakfast this morning, given the congestion that the closure has been causing.

Possibly.Certainly there was no trace of workers at 17:00 yesterday - just cones and a remarkably short delay considering to negotiate the roundabout below instead.

I had been hoping that they'd been over-generous with their schedule, as I had to get out to the Chilterns today, so it was a relief to find it on the BBC travel news website. Roads nice and quiet altogether.

This kind of work often takes relatively little time, but must be followed by a long wait for the concrete to fully harden. Was this the case here?

Agreed!!Although it allowed me to get into the office in record time this morning and well done to the contractors for actually turning a job ahead of schedule. If there had been delays there could well have been mayhem!!The BBC did cover it on their Twitter feed which I follow but agree that it should've been mentioned on TV too.
