North Ealing - have you lost your cat?

A gorgeous tabby started sleeping on my veranda earlier this week, and is still there this morning. I won't give too many details about the cat here but if you are missing a tabby (who seems very well-cared-for and is very friendly) - or know someone who is - please get in touch. It would be lovely if the cat could be home for Christmas.

Hopefully he's learned his lesson and will stay closer to home in future. It doesn't bear thinking about, trying to get across Hangar Lane in the daytime.

Thanks for your interest, Samantha-Jane and Gail. Tiger had only travelled about 300 yards but *gulp* that short distance involved crossing over Hanger Lane!!! I guess he may have come over when the road was quiet and then found it too busy to risk crossing back. Lovely as he was, I really hope I don't see him again!

Just a quick update. Tiger was picked up by his family today - nice to be able to report a happy ending! I will miss him but I'm really pleased he's back home! Thank you to everyone who helped along the way.

We are off to the RSPCA in Hanwell on Monday for a free microchip scan - first chance I will have had.

Have you tried taking it to the local vet to see if it's microchipped?  I don't think they charge for that!

Good news in that the tabby missing in Northfields has now returned. Of course, that still leaves me looking for the home of 'my' tabby ...Thanks for your help, Gail.

Was it the missing tabby from Northfields which found a friendly verandah in North Ealing?  Or was it a different tabby cat?

Many thanks for this - it sounds unlikely to be the right tabby because, as you say, it's quite a distance. But stranger things have happened, I'm sure! Fingers crossed.

There are signs up in Northfields about a missing tabby. Not sure if it would have wandered as far as North Ealing, but I'll look up the details tomorrow morning and let you know.
