I do agree with you Michael.I was a season ticket holder from the age of 10 (yes, over 40 years of 'almost') until orthppaedice issues prevented my attendance.So many lower league clubs have been killed, or, at best, seriously wouded, by the rush to a new stadium. I can understand the financial imperative and pressures so to do but Griffin Park, for all its' problems, is unique and has an atmosphere never found in soulless modern stadia.So many memories including the famous 'non-racist' incident where a Portsmouth reserve player (who had been a 'star' but was now playinmg in 'the stiffs') complained about racist chanting and that the very few fans (of which I was one) were shouting "Blackman you're rubbish."We were indeed but Lloyd Blackman (a trainee having a dog of a game) was tall and white! :-) A terrible case of 'a chip on both shoulders'.
