Best butcher in Ealing ?

Butchers have been going out of business - there's only one left near us. Which is the best butcher shop in Ealing?

I found the last lot of bangers I bought from La Viande were far too salty.The Ginger Pig on Askew Rd does a good range and,best of the lot is Stenton's in Hammersmith which was on Gary Rhodes's Food Heroes programme.

It's not in Ealing but G H Baxters on the Greenford Avenue in Hanwell is ace and very reasonable.

Further afield, there is Tim at La Viande in Churchfield Road Acton.He makes the best sausages. I have tried his chicken also the lamb and beef...and those who know swear his pork are just as good: no fat, no nothing nasty and not that expensive.Also does a mean steak and marinated chicken wings.

What about the one in West Ealing opposite Sainsbury's - I always liked going there. Locally sourced produce, very reasonable and the meat was always tasting. Also you would hear the local goosip and hear quite a few jokes. The name has temporarily escaped me.

I don't think I can caim that it's the best butcher in Ealing but, the new butchery section downstairs at Mleczkos deli in Hanwell does sell extremely good pork chops and they are much cheaper than other butchers and supermarkets.  Well worth a try.

Pearce's in South Ealing is a good everday butcher but is not high end.There is a fancier one down Pitshanger way in the parade of shops east of the Kent pub but I do not know the name.
