there is a  in nottingham called sherwood sheds they done ours cheaper then anyone else dont order from london it costs a fortune

A carpenter could cost you more than a company that specialises in log cabins/ summer houses as you would have to supply all materials where a company would have all necessary materials on hand. On the upside having a carpenter you could build to your own specifications depending on your financial situation and needs. There are plenty of companies that supply and install summer houses on the internet, finding a good carpenter could be a bit of a chore although there are plenty of good carpenters around, there are also plenty of bad ones.

How exciting Tim. Let us know a bit more what you have in mind - is it going to be small or large, wood or bricks or both, is it for one child or many, is the fenestration to be single and small or multiple and large, will it have lighting, heating etc?Or are your ideas completely open at this stage?  Do let us know.
