Re by keeping India and Indians sweet where ever they are . xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx the fact Os is that India will one day, and in the not too distant future, emerge as a major player on the world stage, so what is done by us to benefit from that is all to the good. The UK has been knocked into 6th place for size of economy, now behind France! due to loss of income in the City of London. So well done Boris for trying to get India to use London for it's financial needs, which should become more and more as time goes on. 3 years ago I put a fair amount into an investment trust specialising in China, so far despite the original glossy prognosis, it is down 24%. So hopefully India will prove a better choice. I am not aware that China uses London very much, so Boris's idea of courting India could bring dividends?. As I said earlier, America is doing it's best to " get into " India, and they usually know what they are doing. In fact, I think Obama is running after the places that used to be part of the British Empire, Burma being the latest example.
