Yes, a salt beef / beigel outlet like the two old places on Brick Lane would be great. The one thing I really want to see somewhere in Ealing is a decent pub, with plenty of seating, that specialises in craft beer, rather than just having a couple of bottles of ale in the fridge behind the taps serving the usual mass-produced pish. I can't understand, given the massive popularity of craft beer that's built over the past few years, why Ealing doesn't seem to have anywhere that caters to this market. Craft pubs have popped up all over London (Pimlico, Hackney, the City, Richmond, Brixton, Camden & Twickenham spring to mind). Ealing is missing out, as far as I can tell. As a result, we never go out for a drink, preferring to drink decent beer indoors instead. And as there are few specialist beer shops in Ealing too, not much of our spend in that area stays local.I'd probably prefer it to be somewhere other than central Ealing though. Not somewhere I enjoy going for a drink. Leave that to the Stella drinkers.
