Can you name the Lord Mayor of London .? Did you think That Boris Johnson was the Lord Mayor of London.

Re  it was on the TV, went once, it was rubbish.          xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  that may well have been but I can remember one of the first  things I saw on TV, b/white of course, was the speech made by the incoming  L M of London at the Mansion House and the man exuded wealth power and  dignity. His name I always remember was Sir Bernard Whaley Cohen. Those were the days!.

Re  so i will be at a loss to know who is good          xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  I think you will find Os that in London we don't get a vote. I had Postal Voting papers for Southampton 2 days ago, which I duly completed and returned but have had  nowt re London. Is not BJ THE man overall here ?

It's pretty common knowledge.  Not so on the ball, should have put, that as well as votes by those living in the City of London, business also vote, the number of votes etc....Do you live in Ealing or London for that matter, we already voted and got Boris?The Lord Mayor had his show today, it was on the TV, went once, it was rubbish.

Bernadette .You are certainly on  the Ball.I did not think that the facts were common Knowledge.Another New development is the election of 41 Police Crime Commissioners next week.Who votes for the candidate .? I dont know enough about those who stand to be elected ,and so i will be at a loss to know who is good,better or best.

No, Boris is the Mayor of London.The Lord Mayor is some other bloke.This is because the City of London is a diferent place than London.  The "Council" for the City of London is called the Corporation of London and due to historical reasons they are run differently than other local authorities.Due to the small number of people actually living in the City of London, those elected are chosen by business with the number of votes being decided by the size of the business.There is also a tale about a bloke and a cat, but maybe you can tell us about it?
