most primaries in Ealing come highly recommended .... but if you must go private, you've answered your own question, choose a private school that is local - making friends, playdates and mum/dads coffees etc are so much easier. Or do what we did: attend Montpelier (excellent school with a full range and varied intake) til Y2 then swap to Durston til Y8 (or leave at Y6). We knew we'd be facing problems with secondary schools, so this way we had more schools to choose from.
