How do you find out who owns private garages?

There are 2 privately owned garages on the next road to me that are very poorly maintained and I have never ever seen anyone use them. The reason why I ask is that the front of the garages have become a dumping ground for mattresses, sofas and all sorts of awful rubbish and I'm sick of reporting it to the council - btw no one else who lives on that road ever thinks of doing anything!  I also think that these could be easily sold to people nearby who can then renovate and actually use them!Thanks

Thanks for that. Did not know there was such a team. Will call them as I'm really fed up with the inconvenience but also the poor standard it inflicts on the neighbours to the garages

5 rent and share a private garage in Ealing and every day I find stuff dumped on it's forecourt/entrance.I'm afraid it's other residents. It used to be junk dumped there but now it is garden waste and soiled nappies. as well.It's not my home but I do try to keep it clear but as it's several streets away from home, I cannot keep a vigil on it 24 nor can the people I share it with.If you see people doing this, photograph them, speak to them or observe them and where they come from as it is a spreading problem and hard to see how to deal with it.

Diane,You could try Land Registry if the garages are easy to identify with an address.  http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/public/online-servicesThe council's envirocrime officers should be able to get on top of this.  Please get in touch if you need some help with this.
