Dead radiator

Got one cold radiator in the bathroom - doesn't need bleeding so I am guessing the thermostat is broken.anyone got a trustworthy plumber number to hand in the west Ealing area?

If it is fitted with a thermostatic valve, try removing and with a pair of pliers pull the exposed pin in and out and put a bit of oil around the pin.

Power up the system and let it get warm and then bleed your radiators starting at the one furthest from the pump.If it's just a stat valve they are easy to replace. If unable to do it yourself try Mark Charnock on 07545 508371. He has done jobs for a number of forum members and the feedback is positive.

Try bleeding the radiator while the pump is not running, otherwise the pump could be sucking air into that radiator, depends on the direction of flow.

Are the other radiators warm?Have you switched the heating on?Isn't Satpal (Guy Fawkes thread) a Plumber?
