Help for Syria
I’m probably off on my travels again – this time a humanitarian convoy of ambulances & medical equipment leaving London on the 21st for Syria. My colleagues have just completed a “mini” convoy to test the practicalities / logistics. So we are now on a drive for donations (cash, medicines and medical equipment). It is so desperately needed there. So if anyone has any ideas I can follow up – private hospitals/doctors with private practices, businesses etc please let me know so I can chase them. Maybe some toys too – but mainly the medical stuff. The Libyan Red Crescent (Cross) is part organizing and the first trip resulted in a partnership between them and a Syrian clinic where the stuff will go (even if it’s re distributed onwards from there). Doesn’t seem much point in trying the NHS or - from previous experience - a certain large pharmaceutical company in Brentford. So all ideas are welcome! As with the Libyan trip last October, this is non partisan and non governmental.
