Rubbish and recycling meeting Thursday

For anyone who wants to hear from the council’s contractor Enterprise exactly what has been going wrong with Ealing council rubbish and recycling collection and street cleaning services over the last five months or so you might like to attend the Overview and Scrutiny meeting at 7pm at the Town Hall on Thursday.  The only proper topic to be discussed at the meeting will be this one so there will not be any waiting around.  It is a public meeting so anyone can attend.  If you wish to speak you need to approach the chairman.  Typically members of the public are given 3 minutes to speak.  Agenda here: http://www.ealing.gov.uk/meetings/meeting/108/overview_and_scrutiny_committeeReport here: http://www.ealing.gov.uk/download/meetings/id/923/item_6_environmental_services_contract

Lucky you to have had your street all nicely cleaned up. I have once more sent an email to try to get Vallis Way cleaned. As for those green bags,  perhaps you should report them as fly-tipping and see what happens.

My street is very clean today.  We've had all the collections (except a neighbour's recycling which possibly was out too late) and the road sweeper was here at the same time.  Even had some sort of street cleaning vehicle along the pavement turning round in the road in front of my house.  It must be a special day.Shame about those green bags though...  how many days will we have to wait...  why can't we have one point at which the street is totally clean with no bags, bins and boxes on the pavement AT ALL.
