Has anyone visited yet and tried the fish n' chips?

I tried their chips the other day. Fine, but a wee bit dry (they fry them in rapeseed oil, I gather), a little bit worthy, if you ask me. The decor's nice, though.

Isn't Pollock always insipid despite what the food trendies say about it? Only time I ever had decent pollock was when it was 10 mins out of the Atlantic!!

Thanks Pamela, I'll take a stroll up and persuade Paul to eat some chips then!

The pollock was pretty insipid but good to have the choice of being cooked either in batter or maize meal. Friends raved about the cod and haddock. Salad was enlivened with pomegranate and the wine was suitably chilled - no criticism there.Modern decor and urinal type tiles on the wall...don't know how else to describe them but I'm sure you know the type,Diane! So overall a thumb's up for a good addition to this part of Ealing.... wasn't wowed over but would use again and to know that food is cooked in rapeseed oil which is then converted to biofuel. Hope you enjoy -- went on the second day of opening so am sure it can only get better. Bon appetit!
