Competitions on this Site

Has anyone any experience of people winning competitions on this site? I entered one last week to who free tickets to a Claude Bourbon concert in Brentford. The gig promoter assures of that I got the right answer, but apparently nobody actually got the prize. Odd.

Hi Andy,Glad you enjoyed the evening.The idea was that there would be a winner from each site. The editor of Brentford TW8.com was responsible for drawing the names from entrants from each site. She made a genuine mistake and forgot about the draw, so there were no other winners. She was snowed under with other commitments, and has apologised to me. All I can do now is apologise that it happened, as I am sorry it happened. Hopefully a line can be drawn under this, it hasn't happened before, and I hope you and others will enter competitions associated with my events and come to my events in future!

It was lovely evening. Everybody seemed to enjoy it. I must point out that I am also a member of the Ealing site, and wonder if it is the same administrator who forgot to draw all three winners (from Ealing, Brentford and Chiswick sites), or were there winners from Ealing and Chiswick?

Hi Andy and Nigel. The competition was suggested by me (the promoter) and put on three local websites for me by the editor of Brentford TW8.com, a site I pay for advertising on. so it was run by both of us I suppose.Andy, it was lovely to meet you on Friday and I bought you a drink on the night to compensate for the fact that you hadn't heard anything from the site, and I too thought it was odd that there were no winners etcThe Editor of Brentford TW8 forgot about drawing the winners, which is a shame, but she has apologised to me, and I am now apologising to anyone from this site who entered, even though the draw was out of my hands.There were no problems with recent the Ian McNabb competition as far as I'm aware, and I'll be running similar competitions in future, hopefully without a hitch, so I do hope you will enter next time!

Yes indeed, I won a very pleasant meal for two at Sen Nin.Was the competition actually run by the site or by an individual poster / promoter?
