Disposal of the old pink garden waste bags

Is there a legal way of disposing of the old style pink garden waste bags?We use the new green ones, but the dustmen and garden waste collectors dont want the old ones, and it'll be kind of awkward trying to disguise them in the black sacks.Thanks in advance.

There's a difference between the pink biodegradable sacks and the pink reusable bags.  I would use both to take garden waste to Stirling Road Reuse & Recycling Centre.

The pink sacks were made from a biodegradable material and do degrade fairly quickly (leave them in the sun for a couple of weeks and they crumble away). I'm surprised the bin men won't take them - I'd be inclined to put them in with the rest of your waste and just not mention it. They won't harm the environment as they're not plastic, and won't survive long enough to add to landfill. For this reason they're not much use for anything else.

Offer them to someone who does not use the Council's collection service who may have a use for them eg on freecycle.

Instead of using your green sacks, put your garden waste in the pink ones. During collections they check names of subscribers (I.e. Those who have paid) on a list. If your name is on it, they will collect and retain the pink bags. Easy!

They are plastic ae they not?Try putting them in with your plastics recycling.
