Of course. If there is no evidence. One has to ask however why they were detained. Mistakes can happen but we have a pretty good judicial system and no longer have the ultimate sanction.

Amy oh so cynical.Maybe the Bank of England printing another £50 billion of 'Quantitive Easing' money is the news the Government wants burying. Experts tell me it's all about artificially reducing the borrowing rate in the UK to continue to make the UK look like a 'safe haven'. But when this interest rate bubble bursts.... oh dear.

Yes, but try not to assume that arrested = guilty.Do you remember the Jo Yeates case in Bristol?  Landlord arrested and made out to be guilty because he was a bit of an oddball.  Then released without charge, the wrong way to go about things.Of course, is there any other news which needs to be buried today?

I totally agree Nigel, where would we be without our security services and the police?They have to be vigilant ALL the time, and LUCKY every time, a terrorist only has to be lucky once!So if people are arrested and then found to be innocent then so be it, that is the price we have to pay nowadays to ensure our safety.Security is bound to be increased right now because of the Olympics!

You're not wrong in what you say BUT the whole story hasn't come out and everyone is innocent until proven guilty.At the moment all we know is some people have been arrested, we don't even know where it happened yet or why.
