Giant Hogweed

Is there any possibility that one of the cllr's on this forum can ask either Enterprise or TFL to eradicate the Giant Hogweed that is starting to grow along the pavements along Gunnersbury Avenue?  These plants are toxic to the touch and can cause permanent blindness if the sap gets into one's eye.  Very dangerous to youngsters and pets who probably don't know the dangers

- Streetwatchers has now reported the Hogweed to Street Services for the appropriate action to be taken.

It's not isolated to Gunnersbury Ave - Ealing Golf Club / Pitshanger Park (in fact, pretty much all along the River Brent) have it in abundance.It's nasty stuff but as I understand pretty hard to control.Link provided gives a bit more info on it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hogweed
