I can't see how this is better than the one they were using before - presuming this is the kerbsider I watched yesterday.  They seem to be doing the mixed plastics at the same time in this and there is so much of it in comparison to everything else.  I wasn't convinced that there were enough buckets for the different things we are currently allowed to recycle in our green boxes.  I didn't see a bucket for all my flattened tetrapak cartons - or anything for batteries - did you?I'm really surprised that they didn't go for what Hounslow are doing and have garden waste one week and mixed plastics the next.  I don't like alternate week collections as it immediately causes confusion as to which week is which but it would seem logical to use a machine split for food waste on one side and either plastics or garden waste the other. But then we only use the system so how would we know?It makes you wonder if anyone got up out of their swivel chair and went around and actually looked at our collection or whether they were just hung up on their own agenda and whatever statistics, damn lies and statistics they had come up with to peddle. Here's something I read about recycling paper today:http://www.letsrecycle.com/news/latest-news/paper/paper-industry-calls-for-focus-on-qualityThe less you have to recycle the easier it is so it is worth revisiting the pages about how to reduce the amount of waste you make both on Council websites (don't just rely on your own Council) and others such as:www.myzerowaste.com and www.therubbishdiet.co.uk
