Apparently the council was very good and gave everyone refunds in Framfield Rd. The Labour councillor was at the party and he sorted it out for them.

Well obviously, the first people to complaint to are the ward councillors but a cabinet councillor is directly responsible for the parking services.Problem is not enough people take the trouble to complain in writing to them.and even few follow up a fob off reply.They know this as do most companies, but persistance does pay off especially in numbers

this also happened in Hanwell. Aren't the cllrs there responsible too or is Cllr Mahfouz in charge of it all

He is the councillor resposible for the parking and environment.This happened in South Ealing where some streets fall into 2 zones and there is not enough spare parking. The problem was on saturday. But this happened in E Ealing Broadway where the bank holidays were enforced on Sunday Monday and Tuesday.The car parks were patrolled but even the wardens were not too sure if they were  free or not on Sunday Monday and Tuesday. As they were rostered for work they assumed that they were to enforce. But waiting in cars to pounce suggests that their directive was fully planned and sanctioned.This ultimately lies with Cllr Mahfouz.

Re  they seem determined to upset us        xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx    I think their answer would be it was not under their direction but  down to extreme enthusiasm of the employees of the sub-contractor/ Traffic Warden company. It should I M O be taken up with the local councillor(s) as with their approval, the revellers' road/ parking facility was temporarily taken out of action, and they had  to have somewhere to park, which the Council should have arranged?.

I just thought it was nasty. My friend certainly got a nsty surprise when he got back to his car. What kind of council would take advantage of such a happy occasion to make money for itself, especially when they are not doing that well with collecting our rubbish. they seem determined to upset us

The same happened in Kingston. They waited in cars until parties got going and hit all the displaced vehicles that had permits for adjoining zones.As soon as residents found out they went round in a mob armed with cameras.Wardens were off like a shot.Council officers again should be ashamed of themselves, this is not serving their residents and paymasters.

A friend got a parking ticket in Hanwell at a street party over the weekend where the road was closed on Framefield avenue. He parked nearby and the council were down there before 10 slapping on tickets on the cars.
