Eric,Johnson's role as a Telegraph columnist and his income from that source was held up to intense public scrutiny during the election campaign.  It seems voters are content.  The matter is settled.  Sahota's role as a GP was not.  Sahota’s income is probably not a lot less than Johnson’s.  It may even be more.  I have to take some responsibility for this as I personally didn't think that it was sensible to talk much about Sahota, mainly because the Tories rightly prioritised getting Johnson elected over everything else.  Sahota is not exactly Dr Finlay.  He is more of a medical entrepreneur.  He is not directly employed by the NHS – pretty much all GPs are independent contractors.  He will remain, I assume, as the sole owner and beneficiary of a company called Healthcare 360 Ltd.  This company is the vehicle by which Sahota manages three GP’s practices, one in Southall and two in Hanwell.  He will remain I guess the owner of GP’s premises for which this company pays Sahota personally £100K per annum in rent.  To get an idea of what Sahoata’s GP income might be see this piece from the Daily Mail.  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2057818/The-family-doctor-earns-750-000-year.htmlSahota’s salary from the GLA will be £53,439, see here:http://www.london.gov.uk/profile/dr-onkar-sahotaI don’t criticise Sahota for his success but his description of himself on his website as “A family GP, a former magistrate and school governor…” looks a little disingenuous to say the least.  Incidentally talking of being disingenuous Sahota has given as his home address an address in Cranford in the London Borough of Hounslow in all of his companies House filings since July 2003.
