I do recall reading a study some years ago that it has to do with 'invasion' of their personal space. The vehicle becomes an extension of this space and those who have 'short fuses' blow when 'their' space is violated.

Possibly not a heart attack.http://www.ealingtoday.co.uk/default.asp?section=info&page=eaalfadeath001.htm------------------------------How awful. Why do people get SO angry behind the wheel of a car?

That sounds awful - I hope it wasn't like road rage - there is far too much of it about. Suffering a heart attack is bad enough but dying from road rage???? Unthinkable and unconscionable

Rotten luck all round, given that the A40 was at a standstill on Wednesday too after half the road collapsed into a sewer, with tailbacks all over the area.

I understand that some poor soul had a massive cardiac arrest and crashed his/her car on the A40 westbound on-slip.Someone who was due to meet my son was stuck in traffic for over an hour and watched as they vainly tried CPR.May he/she rest in peace.
