Beating The Bounds
Stuck for something to do with the kids that won't break the bank this Bank Holiday Monday? Come and Beat The Bounds, it's an old custom of walking around the Parish borders and smacking certain stones and marks with a stick to keep interlopers away. What could be more fun? It starts at The Fox in Green Lane at 12.noon and the 12km walk ends up back there a couple of hours later. It's an event that raises money for Hanwell Carnival (June 16th)so we hope you can get sponsored but come along anyway.Besum (stick) provided, comfy shoes are down to you.
