Re with colour prejudice as opposed to non-born UK residents xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx you do not say to whom your rather offensive message is addressed to but may one answer that there are many persons of caucasian origin who are here and who do not " fit in " or intend to do so and even more, wish to plant their origins on us , forgetting the guest adapts to the hotel and not the hotel to the guest. But as YOU have raised the question of colour, for reasons best known to yourself, it is of course the most noticeable aspect which shows the person is not of origins of the indigenous population. And worthy of mention is that where whites have settled in the past, Africa in particular, they are being removed and murdered wholesale. Most oriental persons are white, my Chinese friends probably more so than myself, in parts, so colour per se is not the sole criteria. I will repeat that immigration to a certain extent is a good thing, I M O of course, but when an area gets swamped and loses it's indigenous identity, that is not good. And whites from Europe are by and large of the same customs, culture and religion as the indig peoples. Their presence may present problems of a different nature but not one of non integration. And on the point you allude to, of racism, don't forget the head of the then Commission for Racial Equality ( which was anything but ) complained and I think asked for Govt. confirmation that the numbers of Eastern Europeans coming here in large numbers would not be allowed to lessen the number of persons from Africa, Caribbean etc, blatant racism sad to say. Trevor Phillips is of dark skin colour. One finds those who scream racist are in reality the worst racists themselves.
